NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is searching for a trio of suspects who violently robbed a man while aboard a Brooklyn subway train earlier this month, authorities said.

At approximately 8:45 a.m. on Friday, March 10, a 24-year-old man was on a northbound A train at the Broadway Junction subway station in East New York, when he was approached by three men, police said.

They repeatedly punched the victim in the face, breaking his eyeglasses, officials said.

The trio then forcibly removed the victim’s coat and bag.

The suspects fled out of the station and boarded a Q24 bus.

The group was last seen exiting the bus in the vicinity of Atlantic Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
