Home on estate where JFK grew up asking $5.75M

President John F. Kennedy grew up in beautiful Bronxville, New York, on a 6-acre family estate known as Crownlands.

Sadly, his childhood home was demolished in 1953, and the property was subdivided for three new homes.

They include this 1955 Colonial at 4 Crown Circle, now on the market for $5.75 million.

The five-bedroom home is on almost half an acre of dreamy gardens created by Maureen Hackett, landscape designer of Bryant Park and Herald and Greeley squares in Manhattan.

The Kennedy clan lived here from 1929 to 1941, and JFK spent his Bronxville boyhood taking dance classes, sledding and joining the Boy Scouts

The current home was renovated in 2008 by its sellers, whose company specializes in creating audio and visual systems for residences.
