Man shoves woman, 54, onto her face in the Bronx

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Police on Monday released surveillance footage of a man wanted for shoving a woman onto her face on a Bronx street last week.

It happened at approximately 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 24, at the intersection of Jerome Avenue and East 167th Street in Highbridge, authorities said.

According to officials, the suspect approached a 54-year-old woman and violently pushed her from behind causing her to fall on her face.

The woman suffered cuts to her forehead and nose.

The suspect fled location on foot to Shakespeare Avenue.

EMS transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln in stable condition.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black hat, red hooded sweatshirt, dark colored t-shirt, dark color pants, and white sneakers.
