NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A South Bronx woman was found dead in her dead with multiple traumatic injuries, police said Thursday.

Cops responding to a 911 call around 12:45 p.m. Wednesday found Lissette Gomez, 38, unresponsive in her apartment bedroom at Cauldwell and Westchester avenues in Mott Haven.

She had trauma to her face and neck, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The medical examiner’s office will conduct an autopsy to determine her cause of death.

Investigators believe she was beaten to death and are treating her death as a homicide, the Daily News reported.

Police said an investigation is ongoing.
