Broken Bow City Council agenda: June 13

BROKEN BOW – The Broken Bow City Council will convene for the first time this month on Tuesday, June 13 at 6 p.m. in the Municipal Building’s Auditorium.

The council is expected to approve the consent agenda, which includes the minutes of the May 23 meeting, the bills as posted, and an application to sell fireworks from Anselmo’s Loud & Proud Fireworks.

Discussion surrounding the city’s one and six-year street plans will resume with JEO Consulting’s Steve Parr, and a public hearing will be opened regarding a conditional use permit for truck sales for Broken M Sales and Service in Broken Bow.

The council will also consider 3 appointments to the Planning Commission Board: Dennis Jones and Jim Duncan are nominated to be reappointed, and Jacob Holcomb will be considered as a new appointment. All three terms will run until February of 2026.

Mayor Sonnichsen will additionally consider approving 16 appointments to city offices ranging from City Clerk to the Finance Committee. Six of those appointments fall under the Broken Bow Police Department’s purview.

The meeting will conclude with comments from both the mayor and the city council. A full agenda is attached.
