The Broken Bow American Legion Juniors and Seniors baseball teams each fell to Holdrege on the road Wednesday night. The Bow Juniors fell 5-2. Holdrege led 1-0 after five innings but then scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 6th. Bow came back with two runs in the top of the 7th but the comeback would fall short as Holdrege held on for a 5-2 win. Max Denson had two of Broken Bow’s three hits in the game and scored one of Bow’s two runs. Kayden Record pitched a complete game giving up 5 runs on 4 hits and struck out 6.
The Bow seniors fell 10-2 in five innings by the eight run rule. Holdrege jumped out to a 4-0 lead after two innings and then scored five more in the fourth to pull away. The Broken Bow offense was held in check scoring just 2 runs on one hit. The one hit came off the bat of Owen Hartman who finished 1 for 2 with 1 RBI.
Broken Bow is scheduled to play Lexington in a juniors and seniors doubleheader on Thursday.
