Broken Bow Police again nominate K9 Sam for Aftermath grant, need community votes
Handsome Sam could win up to $15,000 for his department, with community help.

BROKEN BOW – The Broken Bow Police Department has entered Sam in the Aftermath K9 Grant Competition again.

The competition is sponsored by Aftermath, a trauma cleaning and biohazard removal company, and awards $15,000 in grants to K9 departments nationwide, divided by region.

Sam, Broken Bow’s K9 officer, has been entered into the competition’s South Central region, which includes dogs from Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi as well as Nebraska.

The department encourages residents to vote for Sam through the Aftermath online voting platform, as grant money is awarded based on number of votes. Community members can vote once per day until the deadline. A direct link to Sam’s voting page can be found here.

In addition to voting through the Aftermath website, supporters can vote through Aftermath’s Facebook (@AftermathCares) and Instagram accounts. To vote, users should find each day’s post, like it, and comment with the BBPD’s info: city, name, and state.

Votes through social media can also be made once per day. All told, an individual may cast 3 votes per day: once through the website, and once through each social media account. The deadline for Aftermath’s K9 Grant is June 5.
