District Court recap: March 23

BROKEN BOW – The Custer County District Court heard 5 criminal cases on Thursday morning which ranged from dismissals to final sentencings.

Ryan O. Campbell, 25 of Broken Bow, appeared to withdraw a former guilty plea to possession of a controlled substance, a Class IV felony; having successfully completed problem-solving court, his case was dismissed.

Michael D. Larreau, 26 of Arnold, did not appear to face allegations of a probation violation.

Jayme D. Pohl, 41 of Littleton, Colorado, appeared for sentencing in his case. Pohl had pled no contest to possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, a Class IIA felony. In a plea agreement with the state, Pohl will serve 4 years’ probation.

Lanna R. Martinez-Ward, 47 of Broken Bow, withdrew a guilty plea to a charge of terroristic threats, a Class IIIA felony, denying a plea agreement with the state that would result in 4 years’ probation. Her case remains open, and a further hearing is scheduled for April.

Christina M. Page, 43 of Broken Bow, appeared for sentencing and was found guilty of the unauthorized use of a financial transaction device, a Class IV felony. In a plea agreement, Page will pay restitution to the harmed institutions in exchange for having restitution in an ongoing county court case dropped. Page will also serve 4 years’ probation.
