The Broken Arrow City Council is accepting letters regarding interest in an appointment to an open Ward 4 City Council seat.
The term will last until April 2025, when the seat is voted on in the City's general election.
The City Council is asking that individuals who are interested in this position submit their letter of interest to the Broken Arrow City Clerk by 5 p.m. on June 15.
The qualifications to be considered for the seat are that you must have lived in Ward 4 for the past six months, be at least 18 years old, and be registered to vote.
Interviews will be conducted by the Broken Arrow City Council at the next City Council meeting taking place on June 19.
Interested people should come to the next City Council meeting and be prepared to do a short presentation and answer questions from the Council.
From there, the Councilors will vote on who to appoint, and whomever they choose will be sworn in at the meeting immediately.
