Fight at Broadalbin business leads to assault charge

A man is facing charges in Fulton County after the sheriff’s office says he pulled a knife during a dispute in a Broadalbin business.

Jeremy Potter, 33, got into a fight with an employee of the business on Friday, the sheriff’s office said. They say he used a knife during the altercation.

Investigators got an arrest warrant for Potter after they spoke to witnesses. However, Potter voluntarily turned himself in, the sheriff’s office said.

Potter is charged with second-degree assault, a felony, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor. After arraignment, he was sent to the Fulton County Jail.
