Afternoon storm chances and a wetter weekend
PANAMA CITY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Good Thursday afternoon everyone! It’s setting up to be a bit wet heading into the end of the week and upcoming weekend. REST OF TODAY: We’ll have partly cloudy skies with scattered passing showers and thunderstorms through the afternoon, starting up near the coast in the early afternoon and spreading more inland into the second half. Highs today reach the mid 80s on the coast to upper 80s inland, especially for those who wait longer in the day or miss out on the scattered rain chance.

REST OF TODAY: A little cloud cover has moved into our Northern Counties today along I-10, it’ll break through the afternoon to get a mix of sun and clouds while the coast stays mainly to mostly sunny. You’re beginning to feel the lower humidity and downturn in heat today! Highs only reach the mid 80s this afternoon and with lower humidity we may only have heat indices in the upper 80s. Winds will be slightly breezy out of the northeast at 10-15mph.
