A Deerfield Township man is charged with murder in the fatal shooting of a Bridgeton man early Sunday morning.
William O. Ware IV, 25, was arrested Monday at police headquarters, Chief Michael Gaimari Sr. said.
Police were called to North Street at 2:49 a.m. and found 29-year-old Brock Hogans outside his residence with a single gunshot wound to his torso, Gaimari said.
He was taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where he died of his injury about an hour later.
The investigation is ongoing by Bridgeton police and detectives from the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office.
