Jacks split doubleheader at home versus Omak
As the Quincy Jackrabbits varsity baseball team prepares for a postseason run, head coach Seth Longwill wants his players to focus on the smaller aspects of the game that are magnified during close contests. Two such areas are defense and base running. Those phases of baseball were on display in both the positive and negative columns as the Jacks split a Caribou Trail League doubleheader against Omak on April 27.

Omak and Tonasket each posted wins in prep boys soccer on Monday…. The Pioneers blanked Manson 2-nil while the Tigers topped Pateros 4-2. A busy schedule today has Tonasket at Okanogan. Brewster hosts Oroville. Liberty Bell plays at Bridgeport. Manson welcomes Pateros. Ephrata’s on the road at Grandview. Quincy hosts Warden tonight at 6. The 7 o’clock matches have West Valley at Eastmont while Wenatchee travels to Moses Lake.
