Bridgeport shooting leaves man in critical care

Bridgeport , Conn. (WTNH) – A man was shot twice in the neck near 1211 Main Street early Saturday morning, according to Bridgeport police. 

Police received multiple reports of gunfire outside of the Hollywood Hookah Lounge at 3:30a.m. Saturday morning. Shortly after the Bridgeport Emergency Operations Center received information that a 23-year-old Bridgeport man had arrived at a hospital in the area with gunshot wounds in his neck. He is critically injured but reported stable at this time. 

The shooter is described as a black male wearing a green shirt, according to the police. Allegedly, the suspect entered a small black vehicle and fled the area heading south on Main Street.
