I received several texts and messages asking about the police presence. Bridgeport Police said at “3:04 PM, someone called 911 to report that a guy at Bridgeport Hospital had a gun and threatened to use it on someone else there. The Bridgeport Police went to check, but they didn’t find any gun, and nobody got hurt. The Police department confirmed that there was never a gun involved at any point during the incident.

WEST HAVEN, Conn. — Six people were arrested after an overnight street takeover involving multiple cars early Saturday in West Haven, police said. Officers received multiple 911 calls around 2 a.m. reporting people standing in the road near Boston Post Road and Campbell Ave, police said. There were also reports of cars doing "donuts" in the street.

Milford Police are investigating a street takeover incident from early Saturday morning, December 9, 2023. Investigators are looking for public assistance in identifying people in the still photographs. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and died.

The Newtown Police Department recently addressed a vandalism incident involving an Israeli flag. The department, focused on community safety, does not condone such activities that can cause fear or distress among residents. A passerby reported the incident, allowing the police to quickly apprehend the suspect. The department thanked the individual for the detailed report, which aided in the suspect's swift arrest.

A Newtown man has been arrested for destroying Israeli flag and charged with both criminal mischief and intimidation based on bigotry or bias.

Two incidents occurred in Ansonia, Connecticut this week. The first incident involved a house fire on Silver Hill Road, resulting in the possible death of a cat. No human injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation. The second incident relates to the disappearance of 15-month-old Vanessa Morales, who has been missing for four years. During a welfare check, Vanessa's mother, Christine Holloway, was found dead, and Vanessa was reported missing. The father, Jose Morales, has been arrested for Christine's homicide, but Vanessa has not been located. Police are continuing their investigation.

2023-12-09@12:55am–#Bridgeport CT– State police and officers from surrounding towns were towns were called to Boston Avenue near William Street for a large crowd of cars and people. The state police said people were shooting off flares and jumping on police cars. When I arrived after my 10-minute travel time, the area was clear except for the remaining police cars. There is now a report of a large number of street racers in Derby on Pershing Drive with people shooting fireworks out of their car. One racer aimed his car at a Derby police car.
