WATCH: Chaotic moments ensue when brawl breaks out inside Brick Township buffet
New video shows the chaotic moments when a brawl spills into a Brick Township buffet restaurant.
The manager of Flaming Grill & Buffet says that neither the restaurant nor its employees had anything to do with the fight that disrupted diners on May 13.
Police say that the incident began with an argument in the parking lot over a driver’s use of a horn. It then spilled into the restaurant.
The video shows that all was quiet inside the restaurant just before the fight. There is suddenly shouting and pounding as a rowdy group of people bursts through the door. One person comes running from what appears to be a table inside the restaurant, and an all-out fight breaks out.
One person is thrown into the buffet and an employee is knocked down as those inside try to break up the fight.
Manager Tammy Stevens says that she wants to set the record straight that no one from the restaurant was involved in the argument and no weapons were used. She says that business has slowed since the incident.
“We just want people to know it’s a very safe place to come…people don’t have clarity on really what happened,” she says.
Two people were treated for injuries after the fight.
Police say 57-year-old Dean John Hughes was charged with aggravated assault. He is accused of striking two people with a champagne bottle.
