Record scholarships given to 2024 graduates
Members of the Albany High School Class of 2024 were awarded dozens of scholarships during commencement exercises held last Friday, May 24. There were more than 175 separate awards for the class of 47, amounting to almost $200,000 given for just the first year of college or trade school – a record amount. That total doesn’t count what is available for subsequent years. In comparison, 2023 scholarships totaled $129,750.

Albany finished fourth Saturday, June 1 in the B Bracket of the Texas West District 5 8U machinepitch tournament at the Albany Little League complex.
