BRAZIL –

Great Dane in Brazil has plans to expand its workforce and has changed working hours to accommodate employees. That has caused some traffic issues, Cory Lookebill told county commissioners Monday morning.

Great Dane, Brazil, has about 1,000 employees and 80 percent of them live within 10 miles of the plant, Lookebill said.

The shifts are 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. with voluntary overtime on Fridays.

Lookebill hopes to add 200 employees to the workforce in the near future.

County Commissioners Paul Sinders, Bryan Allender and Marty Heffner agreed this is a serious issue that needs to be addressed.
