BRAZIL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A Brazil woman is in the hospital with severe injuries to her face after being beaten by another woman.
According to the Brazil Police Department, an officer was flagged down by a friend of the victim on March 24.
Officers spoke with victim who stated that she was invited to a residence in Brazil. Once she arrived, she was beaten by another woman at the residence.
Due to the severity of her injuries, she was transferred to a hospital in Indianapolis.
On March 25, BPD identified Gavyn Trinajstick, 20, or Brazil as the suspect. A Clay County Sheriff’s Deputy located the suspects vehicle in the area of County Road 900 North and County Road 50 East and made a traffic stop.
Trinajstick was taken into custody and transported to the Clay County Justice Center. She’s charged with Battery Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury.
