Brattleboro Police made an arrest Wednesday after reports of shoplifting and assault.
Police say Jeremiah Wilbur allegedly shoplifted in a business on Main Street around 11 a.m. and assaulted staff when confronted.
Brattleboro Officers responded, but Wilbur took off.
Around 1:32 p.m., police say Wilbur returned to the area and attacked two subjects on the Whetstone Walkway.
Wilbur fled and was located by police in an alley on Main Street, where officers used force to take him into custody.
Police say no one was injured badly enough to require medical treatment.
Wilbur was held on conditions and bail.
He's due in court Thursday to face the charges.
