County W to undergo ditching on Tuesday
The Price County Highway Department will begin ditching at various locations on County Highway W on Tuesday, May 14, according to a press release. The work will start at Birch Hill Road, and end 12 miles west at Forest Lane in the town of Elk. County Highway W will be reduced to one lane in the work zone from 6:30 a.m. until the work is completed, which is estimated to be around 3:30 p.m.

Phillips and Chequamegon high schools each celebrated track and field accomplishments at the Rhinelander Invitational on May 9. Chequamegon senior Autumn Michalski was a triple winner of the 800, 1,600, and 3,200 run events, and Phillips senior Hayden Sokolowski won the 110 and 300 meter hurdles to highlight just two star athletes on the day. PHILLIPS — The defendant in a libel suit filed by Price County Sheriff Brian Schmidt has released his legal counsel and will represent himself, according to records filed at Price County Circuit Court. Appointed Circuit Court Judge Knox-Bauer granted an order on May 2 to allow attorney Paul Augustyn, of O’Melia, Schiek & McEldowney, S.C., to withdraw as counsel of record for Brylski. MINOCQUA, Wis. (WJFW)- The Mosinee Indians faced the toughest battle of their perfect season as Lakeland Union gave them all they could handle but in the end the Indians survived with a 4-3 win to move to 19-0. Mosinee sophomore Ava Busse and Lakeland Junior and Arkansas commit Saylor Timmerman battled through four scoreless innings before Mosinee struck in the fifth.
