    Summer may be slowly coming to an end, but there’s still plenty of time to try out a new hot spot for a snack.

    Looking for a nice date night with a delicious steak? Saltbrick in Branford may be right up your alley. If you want a unique place to pick up some dessert, Nitro Cream ‘n Crumbz offers a different spin on classic cookies and ice cream. Dinner with a view? @Rooftop in Canton has three separate bars along with a great view. If you’re a fan of British fare and want an authentic experience, Audacity in Manchester is the way to go with fish and chips and bangers and mash. If you’re looking for a healthy option for dinner, CAVA in Newington specializes in Mediterranean with fresh bowls, pitas and dips.

    Saltbrick Prime Steakhouse and Lockworks Tavern

    1212 Main St., Branford

    The steakhouse offers dry aged steak of all cuts: sirloin, filet mignon, porterhouse and more. The eatery will also feature fresh seafood, pork chops, chicken Wellington, and signature popovers. They also carry coveted Japanese Wagyu.

    Nitro Cream ‘n Crumbz

    422 Main St., Middletown

    It’s not just any ice cream and cookies . The ice cream is nitro-infused so it’s made to order right in front of the customer. The cookies are of special recipes created by the family and are rolled and taken out of the oven in front of customers in small batches.

    @The Rooftop

    220 Albany Turnpike, Canton

    The restaurant has two levels, seats 450 people, has three bars, self-pour beer and wine on tap, a contemporary sushi bar and a menu of “new American cuisine with a global twists.” Guests can get everything from small plates and appetizers to steak and chops.

    Audacity British Style Pub

    829 Main St., Manchester

    Audacity offers authentic British fair, including fish and chips, bangers and mash, chicken and leek pie, as well Chicken Tikka Masala, an Indian dish popular in England. Also on the menu is Cornish pasties, a hand held pastry filled with steak and potatoes, which Motowidlak likens to a “British empanada.”

    3323 Berlin Turnpike, Unit 4, Newington

    The restaurant is a fast/casual one that serves Mediterranean-inspired bowls, pitas, dips, and dressings “that helps people eat well and live well,” according to the company.
