Body of Missing Northwest Iowa Man Found As Search Continues for Second Missing Person
Jolley, IA (KICD)– One of the two Northwest Iowa men reported missing in recent weeks has been located. The Calhoun County Sheriff’s department found the body of 54-year-old Mark Riesberg in a car near Jolley, Iowa Friday. It appears he died from a single gunshot wound and authorities do NOT expect foul play. The State Medical Examiner is performing an autopsy. Riesberg’s family reported him missing on October 28th.
Suspicious Package Report Leads to Drug Charges in Palo Alto County
Ruthven, IA (KICD)– A Ruthven woman is facing multiple drug related charges following a package investigation Monday morning. Palo Alto County Sheriff John King tells KICD News, deputies were called to the Ruthven Post Office around 8:45 to a report of a suspicious package that was later reportedly found to contain narcotics and drug paraphernalia.

ROCKWELL CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — A man who had been reported missing has been found dead, authorities said. The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office said in a release that they received a report Friday around 1:35 p.m. at the 1700 block of 230th Street, about 5 miles southwest of Jolley.

–A Central Iowa man was cited following the report of a vehicle fire near Wesley Sunday night. According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office, Emergency crews responded to the report of a vehicle fire near the intersection of County Road B40 and 210th Avenue just before 8:30 PM.
