Troopers continue investigating deadly crash on 53rd Avenue East in Bradenton

BRADENTON, Fla. (WWSB) - A 55-year-old Bradenton man was killed in a crash on 53rd Avenue E after being struck by two vehicles.
According to officials, the victim was crossing State Road 70 (53rd Ave. E) east of 11th Street Circle E on a bicycle. A pickup truck was traveling east on SR-70 and approached the intersection. An SUV was traveling west and approached the same intersection. The bicyclist crossed into the path of the truck and collided with the front of a truck and then was struck by the SUV who tried to avoid the collision.
A third unknown vehicle hit the victim’s bicycle but continued without stopping.
The crash remains under investigation.
