MSU's Taylor takes 12th in steeplechase at NCAA Championships
EUGENE, OR — Montana State University's Levi Taylor competed in the finals of men's 3000m steeplechase Friday at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships. The redshirt senior finished with a time of 8:43.47 in his second finals race of his stellar career to earn Second Team All-American honors. That makes the Laurel native a three-time All-American, as he also received second team honors with a ninth place finish in 2022 and a 15th place finish in 2023.
Bozeman Board of Ethics looks to update handbook
BOZEMAN, Mont. — Bozeman’s Board of Ethics met on Thursday to go over their work plan for the next 18 months. Part of that plan includes reviewing and updating the city’s code of ethics, which predates the city’s charter, as well as the ethics handbook given to all city employees, which hasn’t been updated since 2011 when it was originally drafted.
Maternal health initiative includes Montana
An official from the US Department of Health and Human Services visited Bozeman today for a discussion on maternal health and this is part of a project called The Enhancing Maternal Health Initiative. The initiative focuses on 12 different states including us here in Montana and seeks to improve health care for pregnant women as well as disparities in accessing that kind of health care across the country.
