Top Gun pilot comes to Bowling Green
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A top gun pilot was at the Capitol Theater Wednesday night and some of you out there may recognize him.
He’s a graduate of South Warren High School – playing baseball – football – and bowling and he’s a WKU alum as well. Now he’s with the Oklahoma Air National Guard flying F-16 jets.
He told News 40 that following his dad’s footsteps wasn’t always the plan – but following a couple of knee surgeries – when thinking about how he wanted to spend his adult years – he became inspired by a childhood photo
Vaughan said he’s enjoyed the whole process of his career thus far – even though some of the early training stages were rough and he gave some advice to any aspiring pilots out there – saying just try your best to be as well-rounded as possible.
