It’s official: Duncan Hines Days June 5 – 11

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – On June 5, Bowling Green and Warren County held a proclamation ceremony at the National Corvette Museum, naming this week the official Duncan Hines Days.

City officials were excited to make this proclamation – saying it is only the beginning of this new tradition in the area.

With over 20 events going on all week long, the hope is that the whole community will come out to celebrate who Duncan Hines was, what he’s done and what he would think of our local eateries now.

News 40 spoke to City Commissioner Sue Parrigin, who was in attendance Monday, and she said, “It’s a huge deal for Bowing Green.” Parrigin added that as Bowling Green’s population and tourism continues to grow, they want to grow Duncan Hines Days right along with it.

Looking into the future, it seems that the week will only grow for the area. Bowling Green’s downtown development coordinator, Telia Butler, said that the official Duncan Hines brand has been interacting with some of the Hines content on social media.
