Run and walk for a cause: Join the 27th annual event for children Saturday morning!
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Friday night, the Family Enrichment Center hosted its free Family Wellness Expo for kids here in the community in preparation for their biggest fundraiser of the year tomorrow morning!
Saturday, bright and early, you can head out to Ephraim White Park to join the nonprofit’s 27th annual Run & Walk for Children.
The half-marathon, 5K run, and fun walk begin tomorrow at 8 a.m. Registration shows around 400 participants, the highest numbers yet post-pandemic.
Your funding from the race will help Family Enrichment Center prevent child abuse.
Family Enrichment Center Executive Director Nickie Jones said, “We’re honored to live in a community where they give back to so many nonprofits and this event is no exception…. People are getting out and they’re exercising as a family and doing things. Tonight was just a great night for the expo, and then tomorrow is going to be even better.”
