Steve Lutz introduced as 16th WKU Men’s Basketball Head Coach

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – It was a big day for WKU athletics as the 16th head basketball coach for the Hilltoppers was officially welcomed today.

Steve Lutz and his family were welcomed by Hilltopper Nation this morning with a formal press conference inside of the Harbaugh club at Houchens-Smith Stadium.

Lutz just led Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in the last two seasons to consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, including the team’s first-ever tournament win last week.

“Everybody’s gonna have the same opportunity to attain success through the way we’re gonna play,” Lutz said. “We’re gonna be unselfish, we’re gonna share the basketball, and when we leave the gym at the end of the night, I sure hope that each and every one of you say, “Hey, the hilltoppers were the hardest playing team on the floor.'”
