Bound Brook Pedestrian Dies After Being Hit by Car at East Main Street and Mountain Avenue

BOUND BROOK, NJ – Bound Brook Police Chief Richard Colombaroni announced that the department is investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a pedestrian at about 9:52 p.m. Sept. 30.

According to the release, police responded to the intersection of East Main Street and Mountain Avenue for a report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle. Officers responded with emergency medical personnel, who started lifesaving measures on the pedestrian.

The victim was a 57-year-old male from Bound Brook, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the motor vehicle remained on the scene.

Colombaroni said patrol officers and detectives from the Bound Brook Police Department and the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office Collision Analysis Reconstruction Team responded to investigate, and the crash is still under investigation.
