Denver weather: Quiet Friday, but watching the next storm system closely
DENVER (KDVR) — The month of October will end quietly. However, the Denver weather forecast does feature some big changes for the start of November. Partly to mostly cloudy skies are expected overnight Thursday and to start Friday morning. The clouds will act like a blanket and prevent Denver from cooling off too much, so overnight lows will only be in the upper 30s to low 40s.

Opinion: Denver can't plan for cold weather sheltering let alone solve homelessness
No doubt you have seen in your social media news feed articles by the New York Times and others saying Denver has solved homelessness. Not quite. In fact, as of Sunday the mayor’s administration had not even announced a cold weather sheltering plan. As early as October, a Denver winter can come in with fury and dump mounds of snow. That hasn’t happened yet, but winter comes on its own time, often with only a day or two of warning. And Denver has not announced a plan for it.

The next major storms are expected to affect Colorado from about November 1 to November 5. The north-central mountains have a good shot at snow, with snow levels possibly dropping below 7,500 feet. Denver and Boulder could see their first snow chances around November 3 to 7, though that part of the forecast is very uncertain.
