While the Boston Red Sox have been dealing with injury issues throughout the beginning of the season, they are starting to have players ready to come back.

According to "The Boston Globe's" Alex Speier , starting pitcher Garrett Whitlock is expected to make a rehab start with Triple-A Worcester on Wednesday.

Whitlock was placed on the 15-day injured list back in mid-April with an oblique strain. Prior to the injury, he had made four starts for Boston this year, posting a 1.19 ERA and a 1.15 WHIP.

It's unclear right now if the 27-year-old will need more than one start down in the minors before returning, but it might be best for the team not to rush him back.
