On January 24, 2023, Lindsay allegedly murdered her children with exercise bands and then tried to kill herself.

At the time, Patrick had left home to run errands, including picking up medications for his oldest daughter who had stomach issues.

When he returned, he found his wife badly injured after she jumped out of the window of their Massachusetts home.

Lindsay, a nurse, was said to have been struggling with her mental health before the death of her kids, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and 7-month-old Callan.

She spent four days at McLean Hospital, a psychiatric facility, before the murders, Mass Live reported.

Her attorney claimed that his client was acting like a "zombie" from being "overmedicated."

However, a Plymouth County prosecutor pointed out that she had taken detailed notes about her day, medications, and how they made her feel.

Prosecutors believed that the diary was a sign she was of clear mind on the night of the alleged murders.

'THEY WERE MY MOTIVATION'

Over a year after the death of his children, Patrick ran the Boston Marathon to raise money for the Boston Children's Hospital, which previously cared for his youngest child, Callan.

"They were my motivation," Clancy told local ABC affiliate WCVB.

"It was therapeutic. It was the purpose. I knew we could make a big difference and we did, so it was good."

The grieving father was cheered on by both family and strangers alike as he wore a jersey with three of his kids' names on it.

Patrick's run with the Miles for Miracles team managed to raise $75,564.50, which was $10,000 more than the goal.

He signed the fundraiser, "With Cora, Dawson, and Callan in spirit, see you at the finish line."

This was his first marathon, and he told the news station that the process was therapeutic for him.

He wore Cora's bow, Dawson's wristbands, and a bracelet belonging to Callan.

"I love my kids. They were wonderful people. They had a lot of friends. Everybody loved them," he said.

"They had short lives, but they had really good lives."

'THE REAL LINDSAY'

Lindsay was said to have searched for ways to kill someone on her phone before the death of her children, according to unsealed court documents.

On the day of the murders, she asked Patrick, who was working from home, to run errands.

The mother allegedly used Apple Maps to time how long it would take for Patrick to travel to and from the home during that time.

After the news of the murders, coworkers of Lindsay vouched for her as a mother.

Nurse Erika Sevieri wrote, "I do not know a better mother than Lindsay Clancy.

"She lived and breathed for her children."

Patrick has repeatedly said he forgives his wife and raised over $1 million through GoFundMe.

"My family was the best thing that ever happened to me. I took so much pride in being Lindsay's husband and a dad to Cora, Dawson, and Callan," he wrote in a statement.

"They gave me purpose and I never took it for granted. There is now a massive void where that purpose once was.

"I want to ask all of you that you find it deep within yourselves to forgive Lindsay, as I have.

"The real Lindsay was generously loving and caring towards everyone - me, our kids, family, friends, and her patients.

"The very fibers of her soul are loving. All I wish for her now is that she can somehow find peace."

Lindsay has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder and has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

All about Linsdsay Clancy

Lindsay Clancy, a mom-of-three, had reportedly been suffering from mental health issues before allegedly murdering her children.

Lindsay is a nurse from Duxbury, Massachusetts.

Before her arrest, she worked in the labor and delivery department at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Lindsay and her husband, Patrick, were dating for a while before they tied the knot in 2013.

The couple eventually welcomed three children: Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan Clancy, 7 months.

In the early evening of January 24, 2023, Lindsay allegedly killed her kids.

Her husband came home to find his wife lying in the backyard after throwing herself out the window. He later discovered his lifeless children in the basement of their home.

The Clancy kids had been strangled. Cora and Dawson were pronounced dead at the hospital and Callan died three days later due to his injuries.

Lindsay's suicide attempt resulted in a spinal injury that left the mom paralyzed as she awaits trial.
