Bosque County shooting suspect apprehended

BOSQUE COUNTY, Texas (FOX 44) – UPDATE: The suspect in a Bosque County shooting has been apprehended.

Bosque County deputies originally responded at 2:50 a.m. on June 4 to a call at a residence on FM-1991. The caller said a fight occurred, and that one individual pulled a weapon and fired rounds inside the home – striking two victims. Both victims survived this incident, and are reported to be doing well.

Since the time of the incident, investigators concentrated their efforts on identifying and finding the shooter. On Thursday, June 8, investigators obtained warrants on 19-year-old DeAndre DeMarcus Washington, of Burleson.

U.S. Marshal’s with both the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force and the North Texas Fugitive Task Force found and apprehended Washington without incident at approximately 7 a.m. on June 9. Washington was transported to the Johnson County Jail. Bosque County Sheriff’s investigators then transported Washington to the Bosque County Jail.

Washington is charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon – a first-degree felony.
