A kayaker who went missing while on the Boise River has been identified by the Ada County Coroner as 63-year-old Tracy Demaree.

Demaree was last seen kayaking the Boise River near the Barber Park area when he was first reported missing. Boise Fire and Police searched the river using boats, drones, and numerous people visually searching before eventually calling off the search.

Demaree was found May 16th, by Boise Fire personnel while out training and pronounced dead at the scene. His body was recovered down river, near the Parkcenter Bridge area. The Ada County Coroner reports that the cause and manner of death are still pending as the Ada County Sheriff's Office finishes its investigation.
