BOCA RATON, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2023 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A resident of Century Village Boca Raton is facing foreclosure over $3,229, but roughly one third of that is owed to the attorney representing Century Village.
Sanford Sherman, who lives in the Yarmouth HOA of Century Village, allegedly owes $2,101.74 in monthly assessments and interest accruing since January 1, 2023. It was not immediately clear why the funds were not paid.
But in the just-filed foreclosure complaint, an attorney for the HOA is seeking $1,012.50 for the job of trying to collect just $2,101.74. That brings the total amount due — once interest and other fees are added — to $3,229.19.
Yarmouth at Century Village is represented by attorney Daniel Wasserstein who is also listed as “Agent of the Association.” The official “Complaint For Foreclosure” was processed by the Palm Beach County Clerk of Courts this week.
