BOCA RATON — A 38-year-old man from Coconut Creek died in a crash that flipped his car in Boca Raton early Friday morning.

Shortly before 6 a.m., the man was driving his black BMW SUV southbound on the exit ramp of Interstate 95 to Congress Avenue, according to a Florida Highway Patrol media release. He “failed to observe” the right curve to exit onto the access road to Congress Avenue and crashed into the raised median separating the eastbound and westbound lanes of the access road. The car then continued south, crashing into the barrier wall along the outside shoulder of the access road and flipping onto its front, its rear end facing upwards.

Boca Raton Fire Rescue responded, and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Florida Highway Patrol is actively investigating the crash.
