FAU: Final Four Bound for first time

FAU: Final Four Bound for first time
WAS THERE TO SEE IT ALL AND JOINS US NOW LIVE AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN WITH THE RECAP. SHANE MUST HAVE BEEN PRETTY COOL IN PERSON TO WITNESS ALAN. THE I WAS COURTSIDE RIGHT DOWN HERE NEXT TO THE FLOOR AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN. I REALLY HAD TO PINCH MYSELF BECAUSE I COULDN’T BELIEVE WHAT WAS HAPPENING RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. WE KIND OF KNEW THEY HAD A CHANCE JUST BECAUSE HOW WELL THEY’VE BEEN PLAYING. BUT TO SEE IT ACTUALLY HAPPEN, IT WAS A DIFFERENT TYPE OF FEELING. AND I’M JUST A REPORTER SITTING ON THE SIDELINE, SO I JUST CAN’T IMAGINE WHAT THE PLAYERS, THE FANS AND THE COACHES WERE FEELING KNOWING THAT THIS WAS A POSSIBILITY AND KNOWING WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN. AND WHENEVER YOU TOOK THE LEAD LATE, YOU JUST REALLY FELT LIKE IT’S OVER. THAT KANSAS STATE WASN’T GOING TO BE ABLE TO OVERCOME THIS TEAM OF DESTINY. AND TALKING TO SOME OF THE PLAYERS ON THE COURT MINUTES AFTER THEY WON, SOME OF THEM JUST FELT LIKE THIS IS SURREAL. IT’S NOT HAPPENING. IT’S LIKE A MOVIE. OH, MAN, I SAID IT HERE, MAN. IT’S CRAZY. AS A KID, MAN, I DREAMED OF BEING IN THIS FIVE MAN. AND JUST TO BE HERE TONIGHT IN MADISON SQUARE GARDEN, MY FAMILY WATCHING, MY MOM, WATCHING MY DAD WATCHING. I JUST LOVE HIM. LIKE I’M JUST I’M STILL LIKE, I DON’T KNOW. THIS IS HARD TO EXPLAIN. I’M IN A LOSS OF WORDS. I BOND WITH THAT. I’M DOING IT FOR THE PEOPLE I LOVE AND A GREAT GROUP OF GUYS. GROWING UP, I PROBABLY NEVER% THOUGHT I’D BE A PART OF SOMETHING LIKE THIS, MAN. I MEAN, YOU NAME THE TEAMS, DUKE, KENTUCKY, UCONN, USC TO GO DOWN THE LIST. WE HAVE FOR YOU. IT WAS SO IT’S CRAZY. AND I PROBABLY NEVER IMAGINED THIS WHEN I COMMITTED TO THE SCHOOL. BUT IT’S WHAT IT DOES. YEAH, I’M JUST HAPPY FOR OUR GUYS AND OUR STAFF. THESE GUYS, MAN, THAT THEY FOR FIVE YEARS I’VE BEEN A HEAD COACH AND I’VE NEVER FELT FOR ONE MINUTE THAT I DIDN’T HAVE A GROUP THAT WAS TRYING TO HELP AND SUPPORT AND MAKE ME BETTER THAN WHAT I AM. AND THAT’S THAT’S KIND OF HOW OUR GUYS ARE. THEIR TEAMMATES MAKE THEM BETTER THAN WHAT THEY ARE. AND SO WE’VE DONE IT TOGETHER. AND FOR YOU, THE FIRST NINE SEED TO GET TO THE FINAL FOUR SINCE 2013, IF YOU REMEMBER BACK THEN, THAT WAS WICHITA STATE AND JANI, THESE KIDS AND THE PLAYERS, THE COACHES AND THE FANS, WHEN YOU TALK TO THEM, THEY WANT TO CELEBRATE, RIGHT? THEY CELEBRATED. BUT WHEN YOU GET MORE INTO THE CONVERSATION, THEY’RE LIKE, LOOK, IT’S NOT OVER YET. WE’RE NOT JUST HAPPY TO BE HERE. AND THAT’S BEEN THE SENTIMENT THE WHOLE TIME. NOT HAPPY TO BE HERE. WE BELONG AND THEY’RE GOING TO SEE WHAT THEY CAN DO IN THE NEXT ROUND. IN FINAL FOUR, CREIGHTON, SAN DIEGO STATE, THERE’S A THERE’S A LINE THERE. THERE’S A PATH THERE TO A CHAMPIONSHIP. YEAH. LET’S SET THE STAGE FOR THAT NEXT GAME ONE WEEK FROM TONIGHT IN HOUSTON, TEXAS. YOU SEE IT HERE AND IT’LL BE CREIGHTON OR SAN DIEGO STATE SATURDAY NIGHT. THE WINNER TO MONDAY’S CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. WHAT A RUN BY THIS FSU TEAM WILL HAVE CONTINUING COVERAGE IN THE NEXT HALF HOUR. AS YOU MENTIONED EARLIER,
