Maryland used the Kevin James meme on the jumbotron to mess with Indiana's kicker

It’s the year 2023, and a college football team just tried to use a picture of Kevin James on the jumbotron to get a kicker to miss an extra point.

During Maryland’s home stand against Indiana, the undefeated Terrapins turned to the most popular meme of the fall, a publicity shot of James on his old sitcom The King of Queens, to get Indiana’s kicker to miss an extra point attempt.

Sadly, the sitcom-inspired intimidation did not work, but it was an incredibly hilarious attempt for Maryland to confuse the Hoosiers kicker with the meme of the moment.

Hey, points for thinking outside of the box!

Later in the game, they tried two James pictures, just for good measure.

We applaud the effort here by Maryland, who at least got to leave Saturday’s game with a big win and a 5-0 record on the season.
