As a sophomore in 2021-22, Geronimo was an integral part of Indiana's 66-58 win over Wyoming in the NCAA Tournament First Four round. Scoring a career-high 15 points and seven rebounds off the bench, Geronimo helped Indiana win its first NCAA Tournament game.

Former Indiana coach Archie Miller recruited Geronimo to Bloomington for the 2020-21 season. He was considered a four-star recruit, ranked No. 105 in the class of 2020 out of St. Paul's School in Concord, N.H.
