Jamie Snow will review a large volume of video evidence recorded from VHS tapes provided last year to his lawyers as part of post-conviction proceedings in his murder conviction in the 1991 slaying of William Little.
Snow has denied shooting Little during a robbery at a Bloomington gas station. Snow is represented by lawyers Lauren Myerscough-Mueller and Karl Leonard with The Exoneration Project. First Assistant State’s Attorney Brad Rigdon is handling the case for the state.
At a hearing on Tuesday, Myerscough-Mueller told Schuyler County Associate Judge Kevin Tippey that the defense has completed the process of copying 100 VHS cassette tapes from the initial murder investigation. The tapes are in addition to more than 8,000 pages of documents the state turned over to the defense team in response to a subpoena.
Snow is expected to meet soon with his lawyers to discuss the materials, said Myerscough-Mueller.
The records were provided as part of a defense motion pending for more than 10 years seeking forensic testing on evidence in the case.
Tippey set a July 25 hearing to review the status of the case.
