Happy ‘June is busting out all over’, Bladen County; and how welcome it is. I expect to have some fresh vegetables to pick before the month is over. I’m trying my luck with a container garden this year. I want to crunch into some cucumbers and bell peppers. And squash. And tomatoes.
I’m very grateful to the fine folks over at the Bladen County Health Department, for sending us their reports every month after completing their sanitation inspections. I’m also grateful to the wonderful workers at our school cafeterias, because they do such a great job keeping those kitchens in healthful conditions to maintain the high scores they consistently receive.
