Victim identified in deadly Bixby shooting; suspect in custody

IRON COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) - The victim in a deadly Bixby shooting has been identified.
At around 8 p.m. on Monday, March 27, the Iron County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a man with a gunshot wound on County Road 79 in rural Bixby.
When they arrived on scene, law enforcement found 51-year-old Donnie Barton, Jr. with a gunshot wound.
He was airlifted to a Sullivan, Mo. hospital where he died.
Deputies say a person is in custody, pending formal charges.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol, Viburnum Police Department and Pilot Knob Police Department assisted with the investigation.
