Police: East Lake homicide ruled justifiable by Jeff. Co. District Attorney’s office

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - UPDATE: The Birmingham Police Department says the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office has ruled a shooting that happened in May 2023 justifiable.

37-year-old Glen Morrow of Birmingham was shot dead in the 400 block of 78th Street South on Saturday, May 27, 2023.

After investigators presented the information gathered to the District Attorney’s office, the DA ruled the actions justifiable.

ORIGINAL: Birmingham Police are investigating a homicide at an apartment complex.

The shooting happened around 10:45 p.m. Saturday at 420 78th Street South in the East Lake Community.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department has identified the victim as Glen Junior Morrow. He was 37.


Officers found Morrow who had been fatally shot in the parking lot of the complex.

Police believe an argument led to the shooting.

No one is in custody.
