BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Birmingham Fire and Rescue crews responded to an apartment fire on 17th Avenue North early Tuesday morning.
According to Birmingham Fire, one person was transported to a local hospital as a result of the fire and residents are being evacuated from the building.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
