Woman found dead in car recovered from Trinity River on Feb. 13
TRINITY RIVER, Calif. - CHP Trinity River announced on Sunday that a woman reported missing on Jan. 29 was found dead inside a car in the Trinity River on Feb. 13. The woman, later identified as Roxanna Miller, of Garberville, was reported missing/overdue on Jan. 29. She had been traveling from Mendocino County through Trinity County along the Highway 299 corridor. She was driving a maroon truck with a camper shell.
2 men set car on fire to survive after crashing down embankment
TRINITY COUNTY, Calif. - Two men who sustained major injuries set their crashed car on fire to survive, CHP Trinity River said. The driver, James Scott, of Salyer, was traveling on Highway 299, west of Pony Creek Road, at an unknown speed on Thursday. Trevor Callis, of Weaverville, was also in the car.
