The first round of strong to severe storms is wrapping up across Michiana. These storms brought large hail to parts of northern Indiana.
More severe weather will be possible late Friday evening into Friday night. A line of strong to severe storms will develop along a cold front and race from west to east across Michiana from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
The main threat with this time of storms will be damaging winds. The tornado threat will be low, but not zero.
Severe weather will still be possible, despite the clouds and storms earlier Friday. Hail, heavy rain, and lightning will be secondary threats.
The threat of severe weather will come to an end for Michiana Friday night as soon as this line of storms moves east of the area. The rest of the night will be windy.
Expect a west to southwest wind at 20 to 30 mph. Wind gusts could be up to 45 mph overnight. Much colder air will also move into Michiana overnight.
Temperatures will be in the lower to mid 40s Saturday morning.
