His crime was snipped in the bud.

A man in Pennsylvania attempted to rob a convenience store with a pair of scissors.

The Reading Eagle reports how the incident occurred in Robertson Township, Berks County at a Turkey Hill Mini Market on Monday, June 5.

According to the same Reading Eagle article, the unnamed suspect entered the store at around 1:45 p.m. and requested the clerk working at the time to place $20 on a fuel pump so he could get gas. The clerk refused, but another customer at the store relented, and left the man the money at the pump.

However, the man left and returned again demanding yet another $20 for the pump. When the same clerk refused a second time, the man went to his car to obtain the scissors, and began threatening the clerk with them before eventually leaving the store for good.

The Reading Eagle confirms the man was later caught by police on Route 10. The suspect was taken into custody, although the charges he faces remain undisclosed.
