The Humble Indiana Restaurant Dishing Out Wildly Delicious Burgers
There’s a sign outside a little burger joint in Highland, Indiana that reads “Highland’s Best Burger,” and honestly, it’s not bragging if it’s true. Miner Dunn is the kind of place that makes you question every fast food decision you’ve ever made in your life.

The Best Popular Pizza Chain Serves Up Chicago-Style Slices
Pizza is undoubtedly one of the most well-known and beloved dishes in the world. Given its origins as a poor man's street food, it's fitting that slice shops and fast food pizza chains remain an accessible source for pizza lovers to get their fix. We were lucky enough to sample and rank 19 popular pizza chain restaurants, crowning Uno Pizzeria & Grill (often called Pizzeria Uno or just Uno's) as our all-time favorite. For those not versed in the many different pizza styles around the U.S., Chicago is home to a few popular styles. But while the thin-crust tavern-style pizza is said to be Chicago's true favorite pizza, the deep-dish pie stole the show.

Fantastic breakfast potatoes at Joe Donut
On most days, breakfast potatoes play a background role as a starchy mop for your eggs, but at Joe Donut in Niles, they steal the show. 🥔 The bite: Crunchy, bouncy, tender and crisp nubbins of shredded spud, dunked in batter and double-fried to perfection. They're served in copious portions with almost all the breakfast plates and skillets. I got the Mom Jeans ($14) with chicken sausage, avocado and grilled cheese curds, but you can also order them on their own ($5.50) if you have extra room. Beware: These suckers are addictive, especially to those of us who like to wear mom jeans, too. Joe Donut also operates two locations in Glenview.

This Underrated Restaurant in Illinois Has an Italian Beef Sandwich That’s to Die For
A tiny counter-serve shop has been feeding its neighborhood since 1929. That’s nearly a full century of groceries, sandwiches, hot dogs, and scoops of cold Italian ice. The star here is a juicy Italian beef piled with thin-sliced meat. You can get it dipped in jus and topped with hot giardiniera or sweet peppers. Then there’s the dessert side, with flavors like mango, lemon, and even horchata.
