BERKELEY – The California women's water polo team placed three players on this year's ACWPC All-America Team, led by first-team selection Cecily Turner, the ACWPC announced Thursday.

Senior goalkeeper Isabel Williams and junior Ruby Swadling were named to the second team and third team, respectively, with both earning their second consecutive All-America nods.

It was the first All-America honor of Turner's career, coming on the heels of a season in which she made the Cutino Award Watch List and led the Golden Bears in scoring for the first time with 47 goals. She also tied for the team lead in assists with 24, giving her a career-high 71 total goal contributions. Turner found the back of the net in 24 of 29 games, pouring in eight hat tricks. Her season-high four goals came in the Bears' biggest win of the year, in which she helped lead them past No. 3 UCLA in a thrilling 12-11 MPSF third-place game win.

Williams – Cal's other representative on the Cutino Award Watch List – led the MPSF in saves for the second straight year as she became the first goalie in program history to claim multiple All-MPSF First-Team selections. During the postseason, she moved into Cal's all-time top five for career saves, eventually settling at 559. Williams started at goalie in every game, reaching double digits nine times. Her season-high 15 came against Fresno State in the first weekend of competition and she tallied 14 in a pair of big wins over the Bruins. Williams also led the conference in steals, reaching five on several occasions and finishing with 54.

It was also a career year for Swadling, who registered career highs across the board with 45 goals, 23 assists, 33 steals and 36 drawn exclusions, all of which ranked second on the team. Her offensive contributions reached their peak in mid-March, when she followed a four-assist outing against No. 9 Arizona State with a career-best six-goal outburst against No. 2 USC.

The Bears went 19-9 this season and advanced to the NCAA Championship for the ninth time since 2010 with a No. 3 national ranking (CWPA).
